MacOS runs an (essentially monolitic) BSD shim over a microkernel. No separation into separate processes at all there, not a real microkernel design.

So you admit a design that uses at least two so called kernel processes. The term microkernel is wrong anyway as it is typically used for something that should be called multi context kernel.
