Turn num lockNumLock on on startup?

I usually edit in vimVim,and when in insert mode and pressing + +, I'd rather move my hand to the right part of the keyboard where ++ resides rather than doing shiftshift + ==. But

But when num lockNumLock is not on,in vim in Vim it just opens a new line above and inserts the letter k  .And And every time I start my PC num lockNumLock is off. I

I would like to know if there is any xmodmapxmodmap trick to turn on num lockNumLock,so I could add it to my .xinitrc.xinitrc.And it would be even better if I could add it to my .map.map file which swaps escapeEscape and caps lockCapsLock which I load with loadkeysloadkeys in my /etc/rc.local/etc/rc.local on startup. I

I am using arch linuxArch Linux.
