Morning all
working with aAdd Mac Book Air, got annoyed and did the followingalias ll='ls -lG' to your (note I am not logged in as root) side note: l~/.profile with your favorite <-- That's and L$EDITOR.
Open a terminal if youWith this method, remember that you'll have not done so already (finder:Spy glass thingy up top on the right, then type terminal)
cd $home (Change to my home directory)
vim .profile (Edit/createdstart a file called .profile)
alias ll='ls -lG' (added this line to the top of the file and saved)
The following key combo will save the file.
Esc, hold left shift key press colon, release the shift key and press w, q, Enter
Log out of yournew terminal session (This may not be absolutely needed but we are
looking for a universal answer so lets do it anyway). Use the command exit twice and close the window is needed.
Note click the finder and type terminal (little spy glass thingy in the upper Right, (no, your other right)
In the terminal type llor (Ooo pretty colors >=-)shouldsource ~/.profile to be goodable to gouse ll)
