    @ToolmakerSteve you're perfectly right: it creates a fake directory (mount), so that you can use all your preferred tools to copy or move things: cp, mv, rm, rsync, unison... The scp command would only be able to copy files. Commented Oct 19, 2016 at 5:38

  • Adding "fuse" to a system is not something I would do without thinking trough. It's quiet a big dependency to just copy files from a server. Commented Mar 23, 2022 at 13:19
