About World Mart

WORLD MART LAYOUT

World Mart itself is an extremely large store. And it has to be. It holds goods from dimensions over! So, there will be plenty of new things to see... and consequently, lots of work to do.

Here are a few quick facts about World Mart:

Ѫ To walk at a normal pace merely around the inner parameter of the store, would take approximately fifteen minutes.

Ѫ The length from the floor to the ceiling is roughly 40ft ~ 12m tall.

Ѫ World Mart only accepts one form of currency: Credits. All foreign currency must be exchanged at banks. Credits are electronic. 1 Credit = 1 Dollar.

Ѫ Hover Carts are used to carry product. Max. Weight = 350lbs/159kg

Ѫ World Mart is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Ѫ All employees get two days a week off.

Your characters will probably see all of the store, and that's great! While some people's jobs will be confined to one part of the store, floor representatives, security guards, and stock workers will most likely travel around. Store events, however, will give you time to do a lot of fun stuff around the store, and help you broaden your knowledge! You can assume that NPC employees are there along with your characters, when the need arises. There are also NPC Managers and other staff as well.

So what exactly all does World Mart have in it? The store is divided much like the districts: North, South, East, West, as well as Center. There is a very simple directory located at the entrance and in different parts of the stores.

The sections below explain exactly what is where, and what you can expect to find within!

THE SOUTH SECTION

The South is the "Front" of the store.

Ѫ The Entrances and Exits are located here. Greeters stand here, greeting customers, checking bags if the alarm goes off, and passing out coupons and fliers. The Hover Cart Station is also here, where customers can grab one as they head into the store.

Ѫ Customer Check-Out Registers are here. There are 50 Registers in all. There are no Self-Check Outs, however, there are two Employee Only Check-Outs, Registers #49 and #50. Registers #1, #2, #3, and #4 are Express Check-Outs. Register #13 is prone to breaking and/or shutting down (if you're a cashier late for your shift, you might get stuck with this one). The registers, like most, host a collection of "quick buys" such as chapstick, candy bars, cigarettes, and gum.

Ѫ The Customer Service Desk is also located here, close to the entrance. This is where returns and exchanges happen. It also sells World Mart Gift Cards, Postage Stamps, and Monthly Bus Passes. It is dimly lit. There are only four stations here.

Ѫ World Mart Bank exchanges all foreign currency into Credits,and vice-versa. For customers, it is on a charge card. For employees of World Mart, it is on their World Mobile (WM).

Ѫ The Doctors Offices provide medical services to employees as well as customers. Whether you are hurt on the job or feel sick, this is place to be! All World Mart employees have free coverage for work done here, however, if the injury is lethal, its best if you try the Hospital in the East District. The Pharmacy is where medicine is kept, from over-the-counter medication to prescription drugs, as well as medical supplies, such as bandages. World Mart employees must pay for medicine and supplies out of their own pocket. Examples of Canon Pharmaceuticals: Potions (Final Fantasy), Blood Tablets (Vampire Knight).

Ѫ World Mart also has an Optical Office, to where employees can get their eyes checked. Prescription glasses, contacts, reading glasses, and even sunglasses can be purchased here.

THE WEST SECTION
This section of the store manly consists of groceries.
The chart below gives you examples of what can be found in each aisle!

AISLE 1: BAKERY
Breads, Cakes, and other delicious baked goods reside here.
Examples: Sweetroll (WoW).

AISLE 2: MEAT & DELI
Meat, Fish, and Deli products are found here.
Examples: Rappig Meat (Tales of the Abyss), Magikarp (Pokémon), Cuccoo (Legend of Zelda), Gagh (Star Trek).

AISLE 3: PRODUCE
Vegetables and Fruits ahoy!
Examples: Napples and Habenaros (Odin Sphere), Magic Beans (Legend of Zelda), Berries (Pokémon).

AISLE 4: PAPER GOODS/CLEANING SUPPLIES
Toilet Paper, Napkins, Paper Towels, Paper Plates: all of those things are here. Cleanings supplies such as mops, brooms, and sponges, along with pesticides, laundry detergent, and other things that spell clean reside here.

AISLE 5: BEVERAGES
Juices, Drinks, Tea, and even Alcohol can be found here!
Examples: Drink Me's (Alice in Wonderland), Butterbeer (Harry Potter), Meatshakes (Invader Zim), Blood cocktails (for vampires), TaP Soda, Orange Smash, Dr. Salt NEO, Second Maid (Persona 3/4).

AISLE 6: CANNED GOODS
Canned Fruits, Veggies, and other canned things.
Examples: Canned Laughter, Groosling soup (Hunger Games).

AISLE 7: SPICES & CONDIMENTS
Ketchup, Mustards, Dressings, and Spices as well as Baking Supplies here!
Examples: IDK STUFF.

AISLE 8: SNACKS & CANDY
Delicious candies from around the world, as we as snack items like chips and crackers.
Examples: Nosebleed Nougats, Bertie Bott's Every-Flavored Beans (Harry Potter), Seaweedies (Magic School Bus), Chu-Jelly (Legend of Zelda), Jellies Babies (Doctor Who), Everlasting Gobbstoppers (Willy Wonka), Chicken Whizzies (Young Justice).

AISLE 9: BREAKFAST GOODS
Cereal, Pop-Tarts, Granola Bars, and all the good things about breakfast!
Examples: IDK STUFF.

AISLE 10: FROZEN GOODS
Brrr! Frozen pizzas, vegetables, and ice creams are in this place!
Examples: Sea Salt Ice Cream (Kingdom Hearts), Topsicles (Persona 4).

AISLE 11: DAIRY SECTION
Dairy products like milk and butter are kept here, as well as eggs.
Examples: Lon-Lon Ranch Milk (Legend of Zelda), Dinosaur eggs.

AISLE 12: DRY FOODS
From an assortment of noodles to things like jerky, dry products otherwise unsorted collect here.
Examples: Soylent Green.

THE EAST SECTION

Ѫ The Hair Salon is located here: but working with hair is hard work! Not only do people with different hair types walk in the door... what happens when you get someone that has snakes for hair instead? Or wants their cueball waxed? Or has hedgehog spikes? Regardless, the cut and curl can all happen here! Employees get a discount!

Ѫ World Mart also sports a Nail Studio to take care of your hands... or your claws... or talons. Manicures, pedicures, and even eyebrows are done at this studio! Employees get a discount!

Ѫ The Floral Boutique gets its flowers from the Gardening Department located in the North Section. If you need a bouquet to impress, look no further! Blooms range from roses to rare Crazee Dayzees! Though walking inside is like walking into a perfume aisle x 10... and you never know if it will smell great or nauseating in there!

Ѫ The Dentist Office serves to take care of teeth! No harm in that! So of course they do whitening, braces, surgery... you name it. Employees are covered for free!

Ѫ The Hygienic Aisle is a compilation of everything a person might need to take care of themselves. There is a wide array of hair and skincare products befitting of all kinds of aliens, as well as a large selection of toiletries, such as toothbrushes, q-tips, and deodorant. Adult products like condoms and massage oil is also available, and of course, we can't forget about makeup!

Ѫ World Mart doesn't just offer products! They also offer various classes, and that is where the Classrooms come in handy. For younger employees, the World Mart "Betterment Training" takes place here. For customers, you can be taught various seasonal crafts, how to cook, gift wrapping, and even wardrobe compilation! There are also classrooms reserved for the Child Care department, so that children will have a place to do crafts, color, and just generally stay while their parents are shopping.

Ѫ Need a bite to eat during your break and too lazy to catch the train to the West? The World Mart Cafe can solve your problems! With an ever-changing menu to befit the wide-range of customers, there is plenty of seating and lots to choose from. Employees get a discount!

THE NORTH SECTION

Ѫ The Electronics department is extremely advanced, selling technology of all kinds, but at notably expensive prices. TVs, Computers, Phones, e-Readers, and Video Game Consoles are found here (where else would you find a GameSphere (Drake & Josh)? Its so spherical. Movies, video games, music players, and lots of other fun things can be located here.

Ѫ Ah, the Toy Department is the most brutal of all departments. At the end of each day, it looks like a war-zone that got caressed by a tornado or five. Its common for bad employees to get stuck working a floor rep shift there for a week. But, all the toys galore! Archaic board games, talking dolls, and other things children would find delightful are located there. TOYS!

Ѫ The Children's Department continues from there, with children's needs such as bottles, diapers, pacifiers, you name it. Perfect for when you raise children of your own! But of course, you don't plan on doing that any time soon...

Ѫ Sporting Goods can be found in this section of the store, and with good fortune! Quidditch equipment (including brooms, though they only seem to work in tandem with the other equipment...), baseballs, basketballs, and other things for various sports can be gathered from here.

Ѫ Animals! Customers have pets, and the Pet Department is the place to be! Here, you can buy the appropriate chow for your little animal companion, as well as collars and care equipment. The Vets Office is located here, as well as the Pet Salon to Spot can look like a million Credits! From time-to-time, pet adoptions are held here, so if you're keeping an eye out for a unique pet, look no further!

Ѫ Gardening is an art form in this Space Town, and thus you will find gardening supplies to be very expensive. Not only does this department carry shovels, watering cans, and strange seeds, there are also plants here... but be careful! You never know when you're picking up a Bomb Flower or a White Claudia! And those toothy Venus Flytraps could eat a whole person!

THE CENTER SECTION

Ѫ The Jewelry Department sells lovely jewels from worlds over! Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, shiny bobbles that will melt the love of your life's heart... you name it!

Ѫ When it comes to fashion, the Clothing Section... could be better. But it has what you need! World Mart attempts to keep up with trends, however, clothing and accessories are just better in the fashion district. However! When you need something cheap and don't want to spend hours hunting for it in the West District, look no further! Clothes for Women, Men, Children, and a variety of other species are located here! You can also find shoes here as well!

Ѫ Welcome to the Lingerine Section, which is more than just that. Aside from sexy bras and panty sets, you can find mens underwear, socks, pantyhose, hats, gloves, scarfs, and even accessories, such as purses and walets.

Ѫ The Kitchen Section is packed with exciting tools and gadgets for your culinary exploits, as well as a variety of dishware, silverware, and glass sets. Hi-tech devices to make coffee, heat food, and other fun things are here as well. Don't forget stuff for storage! Bigger things, like appliances such as freezers and such, must be purchased in the shopping district.

Ѫ Home Goods are also here, and by that we mean small furniture items such as desk chairs and bedside tables, pillows, bedding, trash cans, decor, towels, mirrors, and other decor and home needs.

Ѫ Speaking of home, ready do to dome major improvement on it? Look no further than the Home Improvement Section! Here, you will find paints, amazing tools, and other knick-knacks for when you need to fix-it-up.

Ѫ The Craft Department encompasses many things, from Office supplies, to ribbon and jewelry-making beads, and holds paints, fabrics, drawing utensils, glues, and sewing equipment! Do to this nature, its usually a mess and sprinkled in glitter, but if you're crafty in nature, this is place to look!

THE SECOND FLOOR

What, there's a second floor to World Mart?! That's right! This place, of course, is Employees Only, your safe-haven from the swirl of crazy customers that are out and about.

Ѫ The upstairs hosts the Employee Lockers, which can be opens by swiping your World Mobile over them to unlock. There is where you can store your belongings while on an off the clock, such as your purse, apron, or whatever you happen to carry around with you.

Ѫ The Employee Break Room is also here. Its a rather large room filled with plenty of tables and chairs, as well as a few vending machines for you to wave the World Mobile over in order to get some delicious drink while on your break. There are also giant fridges to keep your lunches cold, microwaves to heat it all up, as well as the resident coffee machines for a quick caffeine jump to keep your butt working.

Ѫ The Manager Offices, as well as the ETR are located here, labeled with the names of the managers. When your character becomes a big-wig, they can get their own office! Most of these offices, of course, are locked with no way to get in them. The Announcers office is up here as well.
