Null was an astronomical object located in the Null system of the Trans-Vulta sector within the Mid Rim and the New Territories in square N-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid. The whisper bird, a species of bird native to the Outer Rim moon Yavin 4, could also be found on Null.

Null was mentioned in an entry on whisper birds in an artist's journal, which was restored, expanded, and displayed by the Graf Archive at some point no earlier than 34 ABY. It also received mention in the whisper birds' entry in the journal of Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts Director of Creature Cartography Ardis San Tekka at some point after the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY.

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Null was first mentioned on a map of the galaxy included in the 2016 Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a Star Wars Roleplaying product released by Fantasy Flight Games. The world originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the 2003 young-reader novel Legacy of the Jedi, which was written by Jude Watson and published as part of the Clone Wars multimedia project. It was then depicted for the first time in the sixty-fifth issue of the Star Wars: Republic series of comic books, which was written by John Ostrander, illustrated by Jan Duursema, and published by Dark Horse Comics on June 2, 2004.
