I am the director the Institute of Applied Optimization of the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology of the Hefei University. Before I was Associate Professor at the USTC-Birmingham Joint Research Institute in Intelligent Computation and Its Applications (UBRI), School of Computer Science and Technology (SCST) of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).

My research interests are optimization algorithms. Currently I am working on benchmarking them. For this purpose I write the optimizationBenchmarking in Java and I also use LaTeX for various purposes.

I am the author of the figureSeries LaTeX package which allows you to have figures consisting of arbitrarily many sub-figures. These figures can break over page boundaries and work in both one- and two-column documents.
