  • Thank you so much for this answer!!! Trying to find a way to get the background color with the documentation they give is practically impossible. Didn't realize you had to set background-color to mat-color($background, card); I thought it was just mat-color($background). You have saved me thank you. Commented May 8, 2021 at 17:34
