  • I don't see this as useful at all for much of the world--and a non-trivial audience for many customers. It fails for internationalized usernames and domains.   • Maybe make the regex case insensitive. Otherwise it will fail the email address with the uppercase characters. Commented Sep 16, 2022 at 2:52
