How do I create a thread? Sorry, I don't know I tried looking it up, but I don't get it.

Well you have threading libraries that run under Linux, but not on windoze, and those that run under windoze, but not on Linux. So if you are on Windows 10 with gcc, you have a Hobson's choice to make.
