My favourite chess database manager. I've been a SCID user for a couple of decades now, and SCID vs PC has been my go-to fork for the last years. Solid, fast, stable, full of features and actively maintained. You just can't go wrong with this one. Note that the number of features can be a bit overwhelming for new users, so you'll just need to learn this one as you go along, but it is most certainly worth it.

Absolutely Excellent!! I have use Scid vs PC for more than 4 years now and I have installed it both on Windows and Linux systems. I have found it easy to install and use. My personal database has more than 7.5 million games plus roughly 200,000 problems and endgame studies. I routinely import files from various sources into Scid vs PC and have found it very easy to do. Database searches from board setup, opening training, opening reports and an ever ready chess pal to play against make it an excellent tool. I own a copy of Chess base which I put away permanently after installing this product years ago. Scid vs PC is simply the best.
