Monitor everything. OWHTTPD -- same system, only used as a light weight web server. OWFS is also ported to embedded routers, Mac OSX and Windows. Basically you can use these inexpensive little sensors and other chips with very simple wiring to sense and control the physical environment. The interface is very flexible -- everything from a web browser, to read and writing directly to the chip's "file" to integrating with your programs -- even over the internet. ssl_logger is a Python-based tool that decrypts and logs a target process’s SSL/TLS traffic on Linux and macOS. It attaches to a running process by name or PID and hooks SSL_read and SSL_write calls to capture plaintext data flowing through encrypted connections. Output can be streamed to the console with verbose metadata or written to a PCAP file for later analysis in standard tooling. The utility is powered by dynamic instrumentation using the Frida framework, allowing it to intercept function calls without recompiling or modifying the target binary. Typical workflows include debugging custom clients, validating protocol implementations, or inspecting troubleshooting traces when only an encrypted channel is available. While focused on libssl-based traffic, the project outlines future enhancements for broader TLS library coverage and process-launch capture flows.

Cinemagoer is a Python package useful to retrieve and manage the data of the IMDb movie database about movies, people, characters and companies. Platform-independent, it can retrieve data from both the IMDb's web server and a local copy of the whole db.

Fail2Ban monitors log files like /var/log/pwdfail or /var/log/apache/error_log and bans failure-prone addresses. It updates firewall rules to reject the IP address or executes user defined commands. Autologging eliminates boilerplate logging setup code and tracing code, and provides a means to separate application logging from program flow and data tracing. Autologging provides two decorators and a custom log level: "autologging.logged" decorates a class to create a __log member. By default, the logger is named for the class's containing module and name (e.g. "my.module.ClassName"). "autologging.traced" decorates a class to provide automatic CALL/RETURN tracing for all class, static, and instance methods, as well as the special __init__ method (by default) "autologging.TRACE" is a custom log level (lower than logging.DEBUG) that is registered with the Python logging module when autologging is imported

Lograptor is a search tool for system logs written in legacy BSD syslog format RFC 3164 and for IETF syslog protocol RFC 5424. The program can perform searches in syslog files like as the UNIX command "grep", but with the addition of some filters and parameters, useful to restrict the search field and retrieve the relevant informations from log files. You could specify parameters like hostname, application, date, time range, plus a set of filters on message data.

arclog archives the log files monthly. It supports Apache access log, Syslog, NTP, Apache 1 SSL engine log, modified ISO date/time log file formats, and Apache-like logs like CUPS, ProFTPD, Pure-FTPd… etc., and gzip and bzip2 compression methods.

justniffer is a TCP sniffer. It reassembles and reorders packets and displays the tcp flow in a customizable way. It can log network traffic in web server log format. A wrapper for Python's standard logging module to provide a file-like interface. Allows legacy code that wishes to log to a file (including stdout and stderr) to use the logger facility.
