day seven / your pet hates
Because I mostly thought of these when I was on my computer, they're almost all related to the internet/fandom.
1. When people don't link to their usernames on other platforms. WHY YOU GOTTA MAKE IT SO HARD FOR ME TO FIND OUT MORE INFO ABOUT YOU. I JUST WANNA BE FRANS.
2. When people don't source. Holy shit this pisses me off so much. Art is a given, but when people don't source gif sets, it's like, are you TRYING to hoard the source material? Lord it over us? Like? WHY???
3. tumblr fic. I fucking hate it. It's never tagged consistently and if I have to read it in this super tiny font because tumblr doesn't know how to make user-friendly themes, I just ⌘ + W out of it.
4. When people stand on the left side of the escalator. MOVE OUT THE FUCKING WAY.
5. The words bemused and nonplussed. Semantic drift is great, and I'm all for it, but we're in that awkward phase where both the "correct" and "incorrect" meanings are being used, and half the time I can't tell from the context which meaning is intended, so I just get annoyed.
