    @Xhalent: unit testing doesn't add to the cost of development, it is an integral part, much like spell checking a document doesn't add to the cost of writing. Unit testing shouldn't be considered an optional extra step. It is part of what you do if you are a professional programmer. Commented Mar 21, 2012 at 12:58
