  • The OP could still rewrite parts of the software that s/he works on regularly. A total redesign is obviously annoying, but here's Joel Spolsky saying kind of the opposite thing; if you can somehow catch all/most of the problems before you start coding/as you continue coding, you can avoid the "big rewrite" issues Commented May 29, 2020 at 16:06
