    So, you took the phrase "concretion" literally as "sedimentary rocks" in order to dismiss its use in software engineering? Well, then why not take "concrete classes" literally as "educational offerings from civil engineering schools" and dismiss it as well? There are many different phrasings of the dependency inversion principle and one of them uses the phrase "concretion", e.g. in a question on this site or by uncle bob 20 years ago.
