| Dec 21, 2018 at 16:45 | comment | added | Ewan | @accumulation I hope you are kidding! compromise quality in favour of internal politics?! that would be a massive ethical and practical problem, and a techincal disagreement pales in comparison | |
| Dec 21, 2018 at 16:30 | comment | added | Acccumulation | @Ewan I hope you're kidding about that refactoring part. Individual team members unilaterally putting their own "fixes" into code that no one else knows about would be a massive ethical and practical problem, and bad code pales in comparison. | |

| Dec 20, 2018 at 20:26 | comment | added | candied_orange | @gnat I see getters, a canned caching mechanizm, and no indication that the 100 other regions do anything different. If there is actual logic in here I don't see it. | |
| Dec 20, 2018 at 20:19 | comment | added | gnat | @JimmyJames per my reading of the question (specifically, part about "100 other regions for all services") the answer you refer to looks somewhat misleading | |
| Dec 20, 2018 at 20:00 | comment | added | JimmyJames | @gnat Except for the fact that the first answer says "This is not a God object". | |

| Dec 20, 2018 at 15:54 | comment | added | Becuzz | I'd add to your arguments that if all this does is just do pass through calls to the individual services, it probably doesn't have any reason to exist. Why would you want to update an extra class when a method signature changes? This is one where DRY needs to be applied. | |

| Dec 20, 2018 at 15:47 | comment | added | Ewan | You are 9000% right. But you will never convince them. Just stay late and refactor everything while they are sleeping | |
