  • @DavidArno: well, don't get me wrong, but your answer (which I did not downvote) does not seem to describe any first hand experience with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code for developing the same project. It looks more like an opinion about Microsoft's goals. Commented Apr 16, 2018 at 11:12
  • @DocBrown, interesting. I've recently been switching between VS2017, Code and Rider with a few solutions and have had no problems. But if my experience isn't typical, then my answer isn't of much use. So I've deleted it. Commented Apr 16, 2018 at 11:16
