  • Thanks for the effort you put into this. I see that you are designing an actual (soap) service (do XYZ) as the 2nd tier behind the REST API. I agree with it being a wrapper service and all the benefits. I was hoping to achieve the same with REST with a CRUD-like approach; IF, of course, this is best practice. Please note that I have fixed in my question the ambiguity of the word "client" by using "user" as the example entity instead. I also explained vendor in more detail - sorry for the confusion.
