"You Say Hola and I Say Hola" is a Sesame Street song sung by Luis and Maria, imitating Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers from the 1935 musical Top Hat.[1] Backing vocals for the song include Ellen Greene and Ivy Austin.[2]
A version was performed by Gloria Estefan with Zoe, Baby Bear, Telly Monster, Rosita, Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Humphrey and Ingrid in a Season 30 insert. (First: Episode 3846) Rosita sang the song in the Season 34 premiere Episode 4031, in which the cast sang karaoke.
Notes
- The original version was taped on January 22, 1985, and was directed by Emily Squires. She also directed the Gloria Estefan version, which was taped on November 4, 1998.[2][1]
