Tim Carter has worked on the Sesame Street team for over 17 years. He previously managed the commissioning of all animation and live-action films for the show as well as overseeing the overall show layout.
In addition, he supervised various Sesame audio mixes, handling the editing of special Sesame Street projects, and was credited as associate director for Elmo's World: Happy Holidays!, Kids' Favorite Songs, and several other Sesame Street home videos.
Carter was a producer on the 2008 direct-to-video special Abby in Wonderland. He also composed and co-wrote a number of musical inserts for the show, including "You Got an M," "Imagining I Words," "Get Up," and "Honeybee Hullabaloo Song."
Carter received his first Emmy nomination and win in 2005 as co-producer when Sesame Street was named Outstanding Pre-School Children's Series. He has a background in education and previously taught in a school for children with special needs in Queens.
