SCENE 1 | Forgetful Jones is helping Susan fix the flat tire on her Volkswagen Beetle. She explains how one gets a flat tire and the process one takes to replace it. She then discovers her spare tire is also flat. Forgetful offers to get another tire from Clementine's place, but returns with a donut, then a record. He finally retrieves what he know will help - Luis. He offers to take the flat tire down to the nearby service station to get it patched up. Forgetful takes a break to eat his donut and listen to the record (by placing it up to his ear). |

He tells Big Bird it's no charge - "Any friend of my son's is a friend of mine." Big Bird clarifies that Snuffy has never met Susan and his dad finds it amusing that he's yet to be seen since he's around the street so often. Snuffy's dad ironically can't stay around to be seen either, having other jobs to do. Luis and Susan return, surprised to see the tire has been fixed. They don't believe Big Bird's story about help from a Snuffleupagus, but can't muster any logical explanation for what they see. |

Snuffy then reappears, asking the viewer if they've seen his pencil. After the CTW mention, Big Bird gives it back to him (unseen to the viewer). |
