SCENE 1 Gordon is about to give Maria a ride on his way to school when Barkley hops into the VW, rests on the horn and howls along with the noise. They try different methods of getting him out such as a doggy biscuit from Mr. Hooper, but nothing seems to work. Big Bird approaches and comes up with the simple suggestion of asking him nicely. He does so, and Barkley stops the horn and gets out! The others are impressed with Big Bird's work... until Barkley jumps back in as soon as the bird leaves.

Maria suggests disconnecting it while Oscar adds to the noise with his trumpet, playing the "Sesame Street Theme." Big Bird announces the sponsors amid the chaos.
