At a library, an Anything Muppet librarian is consulting with the Dewey Decimal System when Cookie Monster enters in amazement at all of the books. The librarian shushes him, and an apologetic Cookie tries to be quieter... only to trip over a wastebasket. Cookie asks the librarian why there are so many books, to which the librarian explains what a library is.
Cookie puts in a request for a book about Little Red Riding Hood... and a box of cookies. The librarian patiently explains to Cookie that a library only has books — no cookies. Cookie seems to understand and then requests a book of nursery rhymes... and a box of cookies. The librarian must again explain to Cookie that the library does not have cookies. Cookie then decides he will check out a picture book... and, once more, a box of cookies. The increasingly frustrated librarian tersely reasserts the non-culinary purpose of the library, to which Cookie attempts to quell his irritation... then requests a box of cookies. Now furious, the librarian snaps and yells repeatedly at Cookie that the library does not have cookies! Just books!
After confirming with the now rattled (and ironically loud) librarian that the library indeed only has books, Cookie finally grasps the concept and asks for... a book about cookies. The relieved librarian happily goes to fetch one... only for Cookie to append a request for a glass of milk. His patience officially exhausted, the librarian faints, and a confused Cookie amends the request to a glass of juice.
