It makes it transparent to readers that the code you present isn't verified to be compiling. I really like using ellipses and calling what I throw together "aircode"

To be honest my answer did skirt the line of "pseudo" code since it was almost valid at a glance (though that's probably because my brain thinks in C# first!).
Jul 21 at 6:12 comment added Peilonrayz Mod In the past I've reviewed posts with pictures and ---pseudocode--- Python, even when the question is in another language. If you write a good answer you'll get upvotes. But bare in mind no matter what you do someone will find something to complain about in your answer. Reviewing with pseudocode (or another language) just increases the chance someone will complain.
