Here is my attempt to update my blog more frequently~
Got myself a new haircut on Monday!
Finally decided to just go for it and get bangs, something which I haven't done since primary school.
Reason why I've never had bangs was because of the constant need to tie all my hair back for ballet, but since there aren't any upcoming exams right now as I've finished Grade 8 last year, I can finally do whatever I want to my hair!
Actually told the hairdresser to only cut off 1 inch of my hair but I think she cut off more than that because it's so much shorter now!
I don't think you can see how short it is when I let my hair down but when it's up in a ponytail it's really short!
Kind of miss my long hair because the waves in my hair were so pretty when I put my hair up :(
Not very used to my new hairstyle as I find it a bit odd?
But I guess that's just how it is whenever we get a haircut~
Still working out how to style my shorter hair...
Probably going to attempt a blunt cut in the future instead of my usual v-shaped cut after my hair grows out again.

Anyway short update, the last 2 weeks was mostly spent visiting family members and friends for the Chinese New Year season, and also meeting up with friends who I haven't seen in awhile~

Even though we didn't do much it was enough to just sit there and chat and laugh~

Valentines wasn't an eventful day for me seeing as I have no significant other and I didn't have any plans, but I went for ballet in the evening~
Particularly tough lesson though because we had to do more exercises on demi-pointe and obviously I'm not a super good dancer so yes I was wobbling around at times :/
Spent the night pampering myself ^^
Went for the MOE Teaching Scholarship talk with Ruth and Qiao yesterday, didn't take any pictures but I had a good time too :)
The talk was pretty informative but I couldn't see myself being a teacher I guess, but finding out more about it was a good thing too~
The food that was catered during the networking session was super yummy hahaha!
Had lunch with Qiao after the talk, Ruth had to rush off for a wedding :(
Laughed and caught up on our respective lives over fried chicken!
Both of us went home in the late afternoon?
Went for a swim in the evening and I have to say I am damn unfit, but fruitful workout nonetheless~

came across this on tumblr and thought that it's something that i should keep in mind.
throughout the whole month, and i guess including last dec i've been very overwhelmed by things that i can't control.
and i kept trying to make things work out somehow, and it got me really frustrated and anxious.
i only got a break from all of it when i fell sick last week and it got me to slow down, sort of.
and mainly because i was too sick to do anything but lie down hahaha~
at least things have gotten better and some things are working out..
so i think it's best to take a chill-pill instead of trying to rush like crazy~
haven't done a proper update about what i've been doing so far, so i'll try to summarise.
spent new year's out shopping with the family, and then meeting florence in the evening to catch rain's concert at mbs, which was free thanks to flo's connections ^^
met up with ruth and qiao during the weekend for earl grey party's warehouse sale, lunch at city plaza and more shopping!
didn't buy as much stuff as i usually would have but scored some really good bargains!
um and then i think the following week i had a lot of alone time doing my own shopping here and there.
met up with cheryline on friday to do some stuff that we're working on, which we will announce soon when we're really done with it?
following monday was spent with cheryline again at coffee bean, and then we were joined by qiao for an impromptu lunch because she came down to tiong~
after lunch i met up with vann for some shopping at bugis and got really good deals off stuff that would have been very expensive if i bought them online.
had a really good day that monday catching up with my friends and just chilling~ no monday blues!
kind of fell sick after that and i had to take a day off work because it got really bad, and i was basically a very miserable person lying down at home with the flu and a really horrible sore throat.
even when i went back to work it was equally bad and i had to give ballet a miss :(
rest of the days were really more or less spent on recuperating at home, and the whole family caught the same virus, so yup.
although we had a jam-packed weekend of going to the doctor's, breakfast, heading to ikea and courts to get some stuff for the house, grocery shopping and paying a visit to the library~
and of course celebrated my mum's birthday by buying a cake from bakerzin.
had a day off work the following tuesday and attempted to bake cornflake cookies which turned out really well and i'm addicted to munching on them now.
wednesday was spent chilling out with winnie at penn uni and the garden slug, mostly catching up and eating good food!
i really love days where i get to meet my friends and just talk about anything in the world~
and it means i really miss school, the environment, getting to meet my friends everyday and having funny but unexpected stuff happening throughout the day.
sigh life is really mundane without the goings on in school :(
so...yup that was my january so far and i'm looking forward to cny this coming week!!!
even though i complain about boring visits to relatives and family friends' houses, it is still exciting to eat and see everyone, and get to dress up nicely, and have a good time!
holiday trips abroad are also currently being discussed and i am really excited to finally be able to travel out of the country without parental supervision hahas!
anyway this wouldn't be a blog post without some pictures...mainly of food :p

Didn't expect Ash and Jiyoung to buy cakes for both me and Ruth, truly unexpected yet thankful to my friends <3
Catching Fire was really good, have to say it was better than the first Hunger Games movie!
Skinny Pizza was so-so, didn't like it a lot and the service there was really terrible.

Prom was yesterday, and it officially marked the end of my 2 years in VJ :(
Already missing the class, thus the class photos, which were actually taken during the last CT session?
Will update with prom photos soon...if I deem that I look nice in them hahahaha~
Going to start working tomorrow, but I don't feel very excited, more nervous to be precise.
Hopefully everything will go smoothly?
Excited to meet up with friends during this holidays though~
Although everyone is either overseas or going overseas soon :(

Woohoo, A's has officially ended!
Ok, A's actually ended like on Thursday, so this blogpost is quite late, mainly because I've been lazy.
Started relaxing and partying once econs ended last week though~
Won't be putting up pictures yet as they're all in my phone and I'm lazy.
I'll edit the pictures in later on~
21st November
Had a mini celebration after the econs paper!
Took a super long bus ride to everton park to have cake at The Audacious Cakery with Ash, Qiao, Weishi, Xiaoting and Cheryline.
Met Winnie there since she didn't have econs that day~
Since there were so many of us of course we tried a lot of cakes.
I think Weishi wanted us to try the Isabella?
But they didn't have it that day so all of us just chose something else to try.
Me and Qiao shared a lemon meringue tart because we wanted to have actual lunch later on.
The rest ordered the strawberry shortcake, zacharie, some chocolate cake? (i forgot the name)
The cakes tasted really good though and I really liked the lemon meringue tart!
Took a group photo there after that and the guy at the store was really nice about helping us take a photo?
It came out really good though although a bit dark :/
Headed to tiong to have lunch at 18chefs, and all of us were especially excited because we haven't had it in a while, and it was Ash's virgin experience!
Had a good time eating and talking and laughing, one of the few days that I laughed so much since all the preparation for A's started~
Weishi had already left first by then, followed by Cheryline, so the 5 of us continued our journey back to the east to Expo to look at all the sales, especially the John Little/Vans/Times sale.
More laughing and crazy talking ensued on the train ride there while Xiaoting slept xD
Spent a really longggggg time at expo, especially at the Times sale because we had to literally look through every box to find books since they weren't categorised.
Got really tired at the end so we all ended up sitting on the floor hobo-ing.
Our backs and legs were super sore by then and our eyes were closing ~.~
We were actually quite tempted by the food expo that was going on down at hall 4, but since we were still full we didn't go in to get any samples :X
Finally paid for everything at around...7? before making the long arduous journey back home by train.
As it was peak hour there was an extremely big crowd at every mrt station and it was just...sian .___.
Overall a crazy and tiring day travelling from east to central, back to the east and then central again, but it was a great day spent with good company and good food!
22nd November
Couldn't really recall much about this day, mainly because I just slacked and rested at home.
Did a few mcqs here and there, watched some videos, played Sims, and then watched MAMAs?
Have to mention that exo/infinite/rain/big bang's performances were really good, especially exo's!!!
Loved the dance break remix thing that they had *____*
23rd November
Spent the first half of the day at home doing more mcqs.
Headed out in the evening to meet Jt at Bugis Junction for 韦礼安's fan-signing!
Was quite surprised by how good-looking he was actually, like seeing him in real life.
He looked really different from how he looked in pictures, or maybe its because of the new edgier hairstyle and better physique after army?
Still, I melted after listening to him sing *_____*
He sang 心醉心碎 and 还是会 and Jt filmed everything using my phone~
There weren't many people at the fan-signing I think, and the event was pretty chill and laid-back so it was a good experience?
Was super nervous when we went up on stage to get our albums autographed, didn't say a single word to him and ugh kind of regretted not like shaking hands with him or anything :(
Sigh he was so cute!!!
Had dinner with Jt at Laksania after the event~
Spent time talking and catching up and it was time well spent once again ^^
Bought gongcha and shopped around before heading home.
24th November
Went for a morning run with the parents, and then a late breakfast at Ya Kun.
Headed to nlb to get some studying/mcqs done or I would have just continued slacking at home.
Hahas was supposed to have met Jt there but she arrived later than me so we sat separately.
It was pretty funny though because we had no idea where each other was sitting, and so couldn't find each other till we had to leave for 韦礼安's showcase at hood bar and cafe.
Was shocked by the number of people queuing outside the bar, because we didn't see that many people at the fan-signing the previous day?
I think there were about 300 people???
We were quite behind in the queue sadly :( Didn't think to go and queue earlier for a better spot.
Still the showcase was SO GOOD!!
Really worth the money I paid for ^____^
Like it was super different from k-events that we usually go for, it was super chill and laid-back and everyone was really nice, no annoying pushers or annoying people screaming when the artist was singing at the same time.
He performed his signature songs like 有没有，心醉心碎，还是会，有人在等，因为爱，慢慢等, and his live was so so so good, it was exactly the same as his recorded songs but better?
He sang a cover of Jason Mraz's A Beautiful Mess too!
And then there was a medley part where the audience could 点歌 for him to sing and play on his guitar, and so he sang 还是爱着你，好天气 and the front part of his new song 在你身边, which I've never heard yet (what a fail fan am I), but it was so beautiful, as expected of such a talented composer.
Was especially happy that he played 好天气 because it was my favourite song ever from him!
The event lasted about 2.5 hours? and even though we were standing throughout, I was happy that we had a clear view of him and could hear his wonderful guitar playing and vocals :)
Had dinner again with Jt at Maine Maine, which was a new restuarant at Bugis Junction's new extension.
Decided to try it out since we saw it the previous day and it looked pretty good?
I had some egg souffle thingy with tomato fried rice inside and Jt had jap curry rice~
The food was good but wasn't as wow as we expected it would be.
The service was really good though and all the waiters/waitresses were super nice, so I wouldn't mind going back another day.
24-28 November
The rest of the days were spent at home studying/doing mcqs or going to sch to do the actual mcqs lol!
Nothing eventful really~
Ended on the 28th, and at the end of the bio paper everyone was just like "OMG YES NO MORE A'S!!!!" and basically ran out running, screaming and jumping out of the hall.
All the other students had already ended a day before, for the exception of people taking h3s, and like us, bio students, so everyone was like "YES FINALLY!"
Took photos with the usual gang to commemorate sort of our last time together, and the end of A's.
Have to say that while I was taking my usual bus ride home, I actually felt really nostalgic and sad.
Because I won't be going back to VJ anymore or anywhere near the east till next year when I have to receive my results?
Even though VJ was really far away from home, I truly enjoyed my 2 years there and it was just so sad to know that all the happy times there have ended.
Plus I haven't explored all the good food at the east coast/katong area??
Of course I didn't spend the end of A's alone, me and my sis actually went to watch Frozen ^^
It was a really feel good and nice movie to watch and end off the day~
Loved all the songs in the movie and the animation, and all the snow and ice architecture/patterns!
All disney fans should really go watch it, it's really good!
29th November
Spent my afternoon and night shopping with Jiyoung and Ash in town, mostly for prom stuff but we bought normal clothing too.
Seemed like the whole wide world was at town or something because the 3 of us bumped into a lot of people that we knew.
Saw many crescentians like wanping, ama, kiran etc...
Guess everyone was there to shop shop shop!
Not a really fruitful day for the 3 of us actually since Jiyoung was the only one that bought something prom-related~
The rest of us just bought normal stuff and spent a lot of money T.T
Our feet were damn tired and sore at the end, my feet were like killing me when I went home.
30th November
Well yeah that's today!
Spent the day with the family at Vivo shopping and we had lunch to celebrate the end of A's!
Finally bought shoes to match with my prom dress, and lots of other purchases hahahas!
Quite happy with what I bought today, or maybe its just the lack of retail therapy the past few months because of A's xD
Next few days up to prom are super packed too, seems like I'm booked up almost everyday.
Probably going to spend tomorrow packing and cleaning my room, especially the after A's mess of books/papers and whatnot.

Because I won't be going back to VJ anymore or anywhere near the east till next year when I have to receive my results?
Even though VJ was really far away from home, I truly enjoyed my 2 years there and it was just so sad to know that all the happy times there have ended.
Plus I haven't explored all the good food at the east coast/katong area??
Of course I didn't spend the end of A's alone, me and my sis actually went to watch Frozen ^^
It was a really feel good and nice movie to watch and end off the day~
Loved all the songs in the movie and the animation, and all the snow and ice architecture/patterns!
All disney fans should really go watch it, it's really good!
29th November
Spent my afternoon and night shopping with Jiyoung and Ash in town, mostly for prom stuff but we bought normal clothing too.
Seemed like the whole wide world was at town or something because the 3 of us bumped into a lot of people that we knew.
Saw many crescentians like wanping, ama, kiran etc...
Guess everyone was there to shop shop shop!
Not a really fruitful day for the 3 of us actually since Jiyoung was the only one that bought something prom-related~
The rest of us just bought normal stuff and spent a lot of money T.T
Our feet were damn tired and sore at the end, my feet were like killing me when I went home.
30th November
Well yeah that's today!
Spent the day with the family at Vivo shopping and we had lunch to celebrate the end of A's!
Finally bought shoes to match with my prom dress, and lots of other purchases hahahas!
Quite happy with what I bought today, or maybe its just the lack of retail therapy the past few months because of A's xD
Next few days up to prom are super packed too, seems like I'm booked up almost everyday.
Probably going to spend tomorrow packing and cleaning my room, especially the after A's mess of books/papers and whatnot.
2nd Dec-Paintball+dinner with the class
3rd Dec-Job hunting with Zann
5th Dec-Nun outing to watch Catching Fire+dinner
7th Dec-Facial appointment
9th Dec-PROM!!!
Have to schedule meet-up dates with other people whom I haven't seen in ages either, have to see how that goes because I am slowly becoming bankrupt T.T
Anyone who cares to sponsor me? hahahahah most likely not right
Anyway its 1.30am already, should probably head to sleep and start a new day tomorrow!
