The ESP8266 has a hard time using software to bit bang signals to the glorious WS2812's. Conveniently, the ESP8266 MP3 Player project outputs to I2S for its sound, so I was able to rip its guts out and trick it into output signals for WS2812. This project makes a UDP->ESP8266->WS2812 bridge.
  • 1 × ESP8266 Module Any will do!
  • 1 × WS2812B's Any quantity will do (well ~300 or less)
  • 1 × 3.3V power regulator
