I am so glad you commented because I would have never thought about only storing the alive cells (this changes a lot of my code, and in my opinion makes it a lot better). I wanted to ask a bit about your opinion on the balance between being clear with variable names and being concise. In other words, how can you determine when the program is too verbose? Does that mean that you have to spend an extraordinarily long time creating the right variable names or that there is something faulty with your logic and design of the code? Thanks again. | |
