Case Background

On November 11, 2022 and November 14, 2022, FTX Trading Ltd. and 101 affiliated debtors (collectively, the "Debtors") each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. On February 13, 2023, an order was entered at Docket No. 711 dismissing the cases of SNG Investments Yatirim Ve Danismanlik Anonim Sirketi (Case No. 22-11093) and FTX Turkey Teknoloji Ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi (Case No. 22-11170). On August 18, 2023, an order was entered at Docket No. 2207 dismissing the case of FTX Exchange FZE (Case No. 22-11100).  On November 13, 2023, an order was entered at Docket No. 3739 dismissing the cases of Liquid Financial USA, Inc. (Case No. 22-11151), LiquidEX LLC (Case No. 22-11152), Zubr Exchanged Ltd (Case No. 22-11132) and DAAG Trading, DMCC (Case No. 22-11163). On March 18, 2024, an order was entered at Docket No. 9585 dismissing the cases of FTX Certificates GmbH (Case No. 22-11164), FTX Crypto Services Ltd. (Case No. 22-11165), FTX Structured Products AG (Case No. 22-11122), FTX Trading GmbH (Case No. 22-11123) and FTX Switzerland GmbH (Case No. 22-11169). On April 19, 2024, an order was entered at Docket No. 12260 dismissing the cases of Alameda Aus Pty Ltd (Case No. 22-11104), Alameda Research Pte Ltd (Case No. 22-11107), Analisya Pte Ltd (Case No. 22-11080), FTX Japan Services KK (Case No. 22-11103), FTX Products (Singapore) Pte Ltd (Case No. 22-11119), Innovatia Ltd (Case No. 22-11128), Liquid Securities Singapore Pte Ltd (Case No. 22-11086), Quoine India Pte Ltd (Case No. 22-11091) and Quoine Vietnam Co. Ltd (Case No. 22-11092). The remaining jointly administered cases under Case No. 22-11068, along with associated cases and adversary proceedings, have been reassigned to the Honorable Karen B. Owens.

Important Information & Dates

Plan & Disclosure Statement

On May 7, 2024, the Debtors filed their Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization and the Disclosure Statement related thereto.  On June 26, 2024, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order approving the Disclosure Statement. The Bankruptcy Court held a hearing to consider confirmation of the Plan on October 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time). On October 8, 2024, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order confirming the Plan. On January 3, 2025, the Effective Date of the Plan occurred, and the Plan was consummated.

Meeting of Creditors

The Meeting of Creditors (the “section 341 meeting”) was held telephonically on December 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. (prevailing Eastern Time).

First Day Hearing

A hearing on the First Day Motions (the “First Day Hearing”) was held on November 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. (prevailing Eastern Time) before the Honorable John T. Dorsey, United States Bankruptcy Judge, in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, 824 North Market Street, 5th Floor, Courtroom No. 5, Wilmington, Delaware 19801. A final hearing on certain of the First Day Motions was held on January 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. (prevailing Eastern Time).

Committee Information Sharing Procedures

On February 7, 2023, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware entered an order [Docket No. 633] (the “Committee Information Sharing Procedures Order”), among other things, approving a protocol regarding creditor requests for information and authorizing the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors appointed in the Debtors’ chapter 11 cases (the “Creditors Committee”) to establish a website (the “Creditors Committee Website”) whereby the Debtors’ creditors may access certain non-confidential and non-privileged information, as determined by the Committee in its sole discretion, that is either not otherwise readily available or that the Creditors Committee determines should be further highlighted for the Debtors’ unsecured creditors.
