They Both Agreed
There was no way Narcissa Black could marry a Muggle-born.
Andromeda and Ted Tonks might have been willing to live as romantic outcasts but Severus and Narcissa had more worldly ambitions.
They both agreed that the unexpected pregnancy would have to be terminated.
He made the potion and she took it.
“It was a boy,” she said later. Neither spoke of it again.
In time, they cooled towards each other.
They moved on.
Narcissa married someone else. She had a son.
If Severus tended to favor Draco Malfoy it was only because he and the boy’s mother were old friends.
